Hot Wheels Id

The Hot Wheels id Series featured cars embedded with NFC chips that could be scanned by the Android/iOS app we were commissioned to make by Mattel. Once scanned in, the car could be used to race in the single-player racing campaign, and the unique id on the car could then be used to track stats about the car. By connecting to the physical "Race Portal", the app could then recreate the layout of the physical "Smart Track" and track the cars as they raced.

I worked on the Hot Wheels Id app as the "Metagame Lead", which involved managing a cross-discipline team of designers, artists and programmers to deliver the User Interface of the game, as well as the smart Track game mode.
